The Faith Formation Committee is a new ministry group starting at Nativity to assist in evaluating, setting and supporting the implementation of mission priorities for parish-wide formation programming. The current scope of Nativity’s formation program includes: Support of Catechists, Wednesday Night Faith Formation Program and Sacramental Preparation, Youth Ministry, RCIA, Adult Formation and Vocation Promotion.

This committee will be comprised of parish formation staff together with 6 to 8 parishioners representing catechists, parents of our school and Wednesday faith formation program, adult formation participants and parishioners at large.

This committee will begin an exploratory phase in the spring of 2020 with two meetings in March and April.  The committee will formally launch in late summer 2020 allowing interested parishioners the opportunity to discern involvement in this ministry of the parish.

The Faith Formation Committee welcomes all members of Nativity of Our Lord parish who are willing to extend their time, talent and treasure for the good of the community.

• Registered member of Nativity of Our Lord who regularly worships with the parish community.
• Interest in supporting others of all ages experience spiritual growth and continued faith formation.
• Commitment to understand and collaboratively facilitate progress in living Nativity’s parish mission through faith formation opportunities.
• Willingness to participate in respectful dialogue that supports consensus decision-making.
• Willingness to actively support and participate in faith formation programs and events as needed.
• Ability to observe confidentiality when required.
