Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church benefits from the insight and dedication of dozens of parishioners who have accepted leadership roles in our parish community.
Our pastor, Fr. Rolf Tollefson, reports to Archbishop Bernard Hebda and is the ultimate decision-maker for the parish. He relies on the collective wisdom of five leadership boards for insight into and parishioners' views on the key issues, opportunities and challenges facing our parish and school communities.
Trustees
Our Trustees include three parish members, including our pastor, Fr. Rolf Tollefson, in addition to Archbishop Bernard Hebda and the vicar general. Christina Crow and Tom Tucci have been appointed by the pastor and approved by the Archbishop. As trustees, they assist with legal and fiduciary matters and provide oversight on the Archdiocese's behalf.
Finance Council
This group of parishioners is responsible for maintaining the parish’s financial health, approving the annual budget and planning its financial future. To contact a Finance Council member, call the Lannan Parish Center at (651) 696-5401.
Pastoral Council
The Pastoral Council has 12 members selected for their leadership abilities, strong faith life, perspectives on pastoral issues and volunteer activities. While it has no formal decision-making power, the Pastoral Council manages the parish's response to key issues impacting Nativity. It serves as the focal point for establishing the parish's vision, defining what Nativity stands for as a community, gathering parishioner views, researching issues, identifying internal and external resources and making recommendations to the trustees and parish administration. To reach a Pastoral Council member, contact the Lannan Parish Center at (651) 696-5401.
School Advisory Council
The Nativity School Advisory Council is an advisory council of parents working in partnership with the school administration to create a learning environment focused on academic excellence in a Catholic, faith centered environment for the students enrolled at Nativity School . Its goal is to support the mission of the school in the areas of academics, extracurricular activities, and spiritual development (adopted 12/2001).
Early Learning Center Parent Advisory Board
The Nativity Early Learning Center Parent Advisory Board was established to provide direction and input into the policies and programs offered in the NELC. The board works with the Director to ensure a safe nurturing environment in which our children can learn and grow.
Endowment Subcommittee
The Parish Endowment was established in 1989 to benefit the parish and its future operations and ministries. The Nativity of Our Lord Scholarship Endowment Fund was established in 1993 to provide scholarships for school tuition for K – eighth grade students attending Nativity of Our Lord School and to provide scholarships for all faith formation programs provided by the parish. We’ve partnered with the Catholic Community Foundation of Minnesota (CCF) for faith-aligned, professionally managed investment of our endowment funds.
